Geonames to Nodegoat: Copy and Paste City Information with Ease
Geonames to Nodegoat is a free Chrome extension developed by different.gobelin. This handy tool is designed to be used with Nodegoat and Geonames.org, making it easier than ever to transfer city information between the two platforms.
To use Geonames to Nodegoat, simply search for a city on Geonames.org and open the page. With the click of a button or the shortcut "Ctrl+Shift+Q," all the fields from the city will be extracted and copied into memory. This includes the Geonames ID, city name, city ASCII, country name, country code, latitude, longitude, and alternate names.
Next, head over to Nodegoat and navigate to the "City" tab. Click on the "Add city" button and then use the extension again. All the fields that were previously copied from Geonames will be automatically filled in with the corresponding metadata.
Additionally, if you're searching for a city in Nodegoat and no results are found, you can quickly open a new tab with Geonames search results for that city by using the shortcut "Ctrl+Shift+F."
